We are active in the local foodbank, which distributes food that has been collected via local supermarkets and uses this to provide three days' supply of emergency food. Volunteers chat with clients over a cup of tea and are able to signpost them to agencies able to solve longer-term problems.
Food can be donated at the Ely branches of Waitrose, Sainsbury's and Tesco. There are also food collections points at the Coop in Soham and in St. Andrew's Church.
We currently are very short of:
Soup, Sponge Puddings, Instant Potatoes, Sugar, Long Life Fruit Juice, Tinned Vegetables, Tinned Fruit and Pasta Sauces
